Energy Officer and Manager, Transformation Projects
Femi Adegbite joined USADF as the Energy Officer in May 2020. In this role, he is responsible for managing the Foundation’s energy portfolio across Africa. He also supports the Foundation’s strategic initiatives and innovative projects to create transformative change that accelerates sustainable development in African communities.
Femi has over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy (RE) industry, working in various capacities such as sales, installation, development, operations, project management, and consulting. Prior to joining USADF, Femi was an Associate at CustomerFirst Renewables where he supported and advised clients on Large Scale Renewable Energy (LSRE) purchases.
As an Environmental Defense Fund Fellow, he developed and implemented RE strategies for a four-college consortium in San Antonio, TX, and also previously worked at Borrego Solar and SolarCity/Tesla where he was involved in sales, development, operations, and project management.
Femi holds a BSc. in Engineering Physics and Economics from Juniata College and an MBA from the University of Maryland – College Park, where he was a Terrapin Fellow.
He is very passionate about energy access and his vision is to help eradicate energy poverty.
